The Fry-Barry House is currently undergoing full restoration/remodel at this time. The old green shingle roof was removed and a new black shingle roof was installed. The roofing project began in October of 2009 and was completed in January of 2010. The existing central heating and air conditioning units, which heat and cool the upstairs (3 units in total) are in the process of being refurbished/reworked and or replaced. We are also adding two mini-split systems. These min-split systems will allow us to turn previously unusable space into our personal living quarters downstairs. These are just a few of the exciting projects we are in the middle of here at the Fry-Barry House. Some of our other projects are: Kitchen, Bath(s) and room renovation(s) and we are having the exterior of the house painted. We hope to be completed with all major renovations 1 November 2010. Please check back for "before & after" pictures 1 November 2010.
Below is the first project we completed, "The Side Balcony". Over the years the balcony had become unsafe due to wood rot and neglect. The pictures of the new balcony will be posted along with all other renovation/restoration photos 1 Novermber 2010.

Below are pictures of "The Keep" this room is located on the lower level at the front of the home. It is my understanding that this room was originally used to store canned and dry goods but later became living space for the Fry Family. Neglected for many years the tongue and grove wood flooring had become rotten and unsafe. As the rotten wood floor was removed the original brick floor was revealed for the first time in unknown years. This room is now treasured as our "shop or work room". This space has proven to be a real asset to us during these renovations!!! We may possibly turn this room into a wine cellar once renovations are complete; however, I find it strangely charming and peaceful in its current state of ruin.
